Who is God’s contender? Who is His equal? We have fallen to the lies of a want-to-be god and we lost, as he did. In our world, the demons seek to be honored and worshipped. They seek to draw fallen man away to themselves. Satan wants to be GOD! What a thought! A creature, with little powers, wants to be God. The finite wants to be infinite! How can a limited, created being, who had a beginning and will have an end (for sure), make himself GOD - unlimited, uncreated, with no beginning or end? He can’t, so he must deceive people and people fall for it! Most of the angels didn’t believe the liar, they stayed and "glued" themselves to the living God – they were right, they are safe! O Christian now redeemed by the blood of the Son of God, O Christian now made clean and new, O Christian now indwelt forever by God’s Spirit, sing, proclaim and declare. As Psalm 96 says, "For great is the Lord and MOST worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods." What do you have that is before God? What could you possibly think is better than knowing God and His will? Is your way more important? Is your agenda more served? Do you think you are the center and God is second? This is the core of the way Satan thought in his heart. He lost, dear Christian, he fell hard with no way to get up. Get up, O Christian – you can. Put God first, let Christ be Lord; He is God, not you. Today I say, "You, O God, are God above all. You are King and I am your child!"
