The Prayer Chapel is an exclusive choir.net feature that publishes regular devotions. You are invited to stop by for a moment to focus on our Saviour. Pastor Jim Thomas from my home Church in Nashville - The Village Chapel - has been kind enough to provide devotions that I will attempt to post on a regular basis. The Village Chapel is a relationship oriented, non denominational church. The Village Chapel meets for worship on Sunday evenings at 6 pm in the old chapel of the St. Bernard building 2021 21st Ave. S. in Hillsboro Village.The service includes acoustic praise and worship music, congregational readings, a time of prayer, and a verse by verse approach to Bible study. The following 5 months of devotions are provide by Pastor Russ from Ohio. Russ is my older brother and he has been generous enough to contribute his writings to the Choir and their audience. Pastor Russ is a kind soul that God has used to reveal Himself to me and the members of our family. He has been working on several books lately and one may contain some of the devotions you will be reading here. | I am very excited to share these daily devotions. Each month we will have a theme and all the daily writings will focus on that theme.
My name is Russ and all the folks at my Church call me "Pastor Russ". I came to Jesus in 1975 and He totally changed my life - I needed it, that's for sure! I went off to Moody Bible School, then to Cumberland College and finally to Malone College plus a few more place. I loved to study. I've been a youth pastor and also served Youth For Christ for 15 years. I am currently a senior pastor and I direct a ministry called Shatter The Darkness. I'm married 19 years now to Shelly and my little buddy is my daughter Charity (age 9 and she loves Christian rock). I look forward to sharing with you daily.
