There’s coming a day, a moment so quick that a blink is too slow! Look at us now, saved, but holding all this treasure of God in a body that is failing us. No matter what you do, how you tighten it up, you can’t stop this old body from "dying." You can paint it, shape it – somewhat – work it and strengthen it but again, you can’t stop your old body from aging and moving to the inevitable – the death of this body. Yes, I have eternal life. Yes, if I die right now I will go to be with Jesus. Yes, my body will be buried but I live in paradise with my Saviour. O assurance of God in me, I will live! The dust in the coffin is the evidence that something’s wrong in this life. Death was not meant – it is an enemy of humankind. It’s here because of sin (See Romans 5:12.) It’s here and unstoppable in human terms. But ------------- But! Death has a conqueror! As one writer titled it, "The Death of Death in the Death of Christ!" Jesus Christ conquered Death! He has risen and lives in unimaginable glory. His resurrected, ascended, glorified body is the "prototype" of what’s to come for the sons and daughters of God. No matter how you feel, how old, sick, tired, diseased, no matter what, if you are saved and in Christ, you are destined for a "METAMORPHOSIS" (Greek for ‘transform’) – a transformation that will make your lowly body like His glorious body. Jesus, at that old rugged cross, purchased forgiveness! New life now and when He comes, in less than a twinkle of an eye, by HIS POWER that enables Him, will change, transform your body into an eternal, immortal, glorious body that all of creation itself is waiting for (See Romans 8:18-21.)

Let’s Pray:
I worship you, my God. Your power raised Jesus from the dead and conquered Death, the grave and hell. Your power, O God, will change me forever!
