Second Month Theme – "Knowing Jesus"
In His Power
March 6, 2000
Psalm 68:35
"You are awesome, O God, in your sanctuary; the God
of Israel gives power and strength to his people.
Praise be to God!"

So, sometimes you’re surrounded by trouble. Sometimes it’s depression and despair. What will you do? When God helps you, when He touches you with His Spirit and you are reassured, when He acts on your behalf to change your circumstances, when He answers your prayer and lifts you up; this, O Christian, is Jesus in action – in power! Will He help you, encourage you, instruct you, and grant you power and strength? Yes, dear sister. Yes, dear brother. In Israel God displayed His power and help from His sanctuary. Where is that today? We are His sanctuary. We are His temple. He dwells in us. This is true as undivided Christians and true of the Church when it gathers. God can and will exercise His power within you (See Ephesians 3:14-17.). He will exercise His Holy power in His Church. We are His dwelling, we are the "place" He lives in and moves among. Keep yourself fastened to a local church. Pray for Jesus to fill it with His power (See Ephesians 3:14-20.). Daily open His Word, it has power in it (See Hebrews 4:12.). Let Him use His Word – believe it, obey it and cherish it. The Holy Spirit will use the Word of God to strengthen you. Bow today and seek your God. He "gives power and strength to His people."

Let’s Pray:
Jesus, bless the reader today. Let your power fall on them afresh. Strengthen them in their circumstances. Bless them, O God.
