"When people say bad things about you, don¹t get upset. Just think what they
could say if they knew the truth!" --Mother Theresa

He was one of the 12 closest disciples of Jesus. He was called an apostle
along with Matthew, James, John, Peter and the rest of the guys. He traveled
with Jesus and was witness to the miracles Jesus performed and the
remarkable teachings Jesus gave. Jesus sent the disciples out on a ministry
trip and Matthew 10 tells us they were given authority by Jesus to preach,
cast out demons, and heal the sick. So it is likely that Judas did those
things as well.

And so, the questions naturally follow.... how could Judas, this seemingly
close disciple of Jesus, betray Jesus? How could Judas turn traitor and sell
out the Lord like that? He seemed to be on the team. He was wearing the
uniform, he was out on the field. What happened to Judas that can explain
his betrayal of Jesus?

This Sunday evening at The Village Chapel we'll take a look at Judas
Iscariot and see what we can learn from the mistakes of his life. I hope you
will join us!

Also, visit our website (www.thevillagechapel.com/special.html) for more
info on our special series for women The Journey to Significance. The first
segment last week was incredible and dealt with the subject of fear. This
week's subject is: Depression and a Mundane Existence as Barriers to
Significance.
