| 1 Corinthians 15:10 "But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me did not prove vain…" Yes, and well…hello everyone. It’s absolutely true. We’re starting another album – tomorrow! Tim Chandler is here for the week end. Dan Michaels, from Akron Ohio, paid to fly Tim and his family out from L.A. for Thanksgiving. (Dan’s the one with the corporate job, so if I need a hundred bucks once in a while to keep from bouncing a check, he’ll have to cough it up, or I’ll be out hustling another tambourine gig!). We’re doing it on our own this time…purely indie (unless some mogul makes us an offer too good to refuse). No deadline. No interference. No budget. It’s a good thing Derri has a studio in his basement! (Neverland’s fifth location). I ‘m not sure if a drum kit will fit down there. I’ll probably just set up some stuff and bang on it. The thing is, I don’t have a notion in my head about what we’re going to do. Maybe Tim will bring in some riffs or progressions. He always does. I KNOW Derald won’t give it much more than a thought before microphones are plugged in. Something will happen. Something GOOD!!! As for lyrical content…well, there again…I don’t have rhyme one. But a lot has gone on. So much is going on. And yes, we are who we are by the grace of God. Let’s consider that. It’s nearly Winter. Still, I see Light!!! Steve H. 11/25/99 |
