September 25, 2000 Journal Entry "Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgement, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil." (Ecclesiastes 12:13, 14) Hey, the leaves are fixin’ to turn, and then fall. I love this time of year, don’t you?! "It’s a suitable climate, a fine habitat…" Last Friday, Derri, along with his wife, Marlei, and a few good friends – rode a silver bird to France. After surgery last November, and having valiantly endured several months of chemotherapy, followed by radiation treatments…Marlei (more beautiful than ever!) is most deserving of a holiday! We all wish them the time of their lives! I haven’t been in touch with Tim as of late – which is no good! Maybe we oughta do another album before too long. It’s a great excuse to fly Tim out here…for music and revelry! Yeah…good idea! Dan’s been busier than he wants to be at Red Hill Records. It’s a dog’s life, sometimes. Anyhow, "You don’t have to whip his hide…He’ll gladly take you for a ride…" Me? Oh… fairly often I’m called upon to shake exotic trinkets. Rhythm and inspiration… It’s great work when you can get it (especially when it pays). Yes, and this also – Sobriety is improving my life significantly. Try it if you haven’t in awhile!
